Hello all:
I'm new to the group but very happy to have found people who are in my culture.
Does anyone have or know someone who has Multiple Sclerosis? I am newly diagnosed and wanted to gain any information I can about this disease from other African-Americans who have the disease (especially another student).
Thanks in advance for any info!

My cousin has MS, and she has had it for quite a few years. Unfortunately, she is in a wheelchair now, after using a cane for a while...
I will be praying for you!

I'm sorry to hear that you have MS. My mom's best friend from her college has MS. Her friend has to take medication and do physical therapy in order to walk again. She can't walk anymore like she used to. She sometimes uses a wheelchair. It makes me sad to see or hear about her condition. I'm not trying to scare you or anything like that. It's also a shame if you're diagnosed really young. Singer Tamia also was diagnosed w/ MS too. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. God Bless! :-)
