Has anybody been dumped or has dumped their boyfriend or girlfriend before going off to school? If so why or why not?

Well I broke up with mine last month. We weren't intending on breaking up when I started college. But, he wanted me to transfer to his school and go to school with him, and that was a lil too much than I could handle.

Damn that's extreme. I feel you on that one. Well, I thought about breaking up with my man but everything has been going good and we've been together for so long that I can't ever bring myself to do it. So I figured that I'd go with the flow when I get to school and see what happens. If our relationship works then good, if it doesn't then I'm still young and I can enjoy bein single. Either way I'll be good after a while. :-D

You don't necessarily have to drop your man/woman before going to college, but remember you're going to have a lot of new friends and either one of you could change. Just don't go to a school because your bf/gf is there, because everyone I know who did that lived to regret it. Holla!

thats exactly what i did and now i amoff to college.... not the same one but they are in the same city. and all has been well. it was very very very difficult thought but we had been together for so long and our relationship was on point before he went off. it took ALOT of communication/trust/dedication and he did come to see me when he was on breaks.
