I just wanted to say a big hello to all of you. It has been a very busy July-October for me so posting was not an option.
I missed all of you, the banter, the various personalities and the sheer fun of being a HBCU college mom "On Board". Now, I know I just set myself up (again) for the meanies to attack but, that's ok.
I did get to travel some with the Hubby, I got a pretty big and unexpected promotion at work late June, so I had to stop HBCU posting sooner than I would have liked...
Being the mom of an HBCU son (sophomore now) is still a very wild ride...
I see a ton of new names and I see that much of HBCU Connects remains the same...one big post party. :-D
I hope that school is going well for all of you. I am actually home sick tonight which is another reason why I decided to post.
Oh well, write back, holla back, be nice, catch me up on how the fall semester is going for you.

You know, I never figured that out... laugh, yup, there sure was some "internet-hate" which is what it is...
You gotta remember though, I got much love on these boards too.
maybe it's cuz you're old and you on a board with young folks

Wassup College Mom? Nice to hear from you again. I was going through HBCU connect withdrawal for pretty much the same period that you were gone. Hope everything's straight with your son. When you gonna post your pics? :twisted:
To ChangePlease: As for why people were mean to her, it was pretty much the same old thing, people getting alot bolder than they'd be in real life. Basically, she asked for honest opinions about her problem, and some of our less Internet-sociable members voiced their honest opinions:
:smt021 "You's a ****." Hey, she asked a bunch of teens for input, and she got the juice, with those tasty bits of pulp intact... *gets up to pour a glass of ruby red... no I seriously did!*
ChangePlease, I think you would've been right in the middle throwing out insults, had you been here in May. Check her post history and think how you would've responded.
I don't know what you said to Kenya, but she's one of the nicest people on here, and you had her ready to tear you limb from limb and lay a blue bandana over your face. You can't be comin on community service gangs' turf like that. Don't you know how them Greeks ride? Once a Greek, always a Greek, unless you french kiss a procupine, marinated in vitiligo, (holds up 2 bandaged fingers) twice that you can remember. They hoo-**** that community service all day err-day! Watch out, my brother (or sister). *waits for pulse to return to normal, goes for more juice... yeah I'm thirsty!*
Anyway, welcome back CM! CP, I'm gonna figure out how you tick, and I'm gonna do it without creeping in the Gang Fam room as long as possible. Peace...
