The company is sponsoring a contest for college students who can clearly articulate the vision for the future of technology - seamless mobility. Your vision can be in the form of a(n):
- essay or white paper (nonfiction) up to 1,500 words
- short story (fiction) up to 1,500 words
- short film or animation up to five minutes
- comic strip up to twenty frames
- digital art including graphics, photos and schematics up to ten frames
Their concept of seamless mobility includes intelligent interaction, content handling, real-time communications, sensing and control, session continuity, heterogeneous networks, security and manageability. You can download white papers from the web site for much more information, including those by the contest judges.
Entries will be judged on the depiction of your vision, creativity and feasibility. The grand prize is a $10,000 scholarship, an eight-week apprenticeship with Motorola's Chief Technology Office, a Bluetooth-enabled car and a product package worth $1,500. Other prizes include a $2,500 scholarship and product packages worth $250. The entry deadline is Tuesday, November 15.
