Helpful Suggestions for a New Jersey Slogan Morning Edition, November 16, 2005 � Here's an update on New Jersey's effort to find a tourism slogan. The state rejected the slogan of an image consultant, so residents are making suggestions -- including: "New Jersey -- it's not as bad as it smells." "New Jersey -- why should death end your voting rights?" In honor of the state's governor-elect, one slogan said, "New Jersey -- sold to Corzine." Another slogan offered by the state's own residents says, "At least it's not West Virginia." (28 ****) The License Plate from Hell Morning Edition, November 16, 2005 � No matter how it seems to other drivers, Ken Hasenmueller insists he did not order custom license plates in the state of Wisconsin. He says he was randomly assigned a license plate. And the tag that came out of the system was 666 KEN. This is what he was supposed to screw onto his Oldsmobile, which is red. Hasenmueller has now requested a new license plate, fearing that people will think he's a Satanist. (29 ****) Michael Jackson May Head to UAE Morning Edition, November 17, 2005 � His father says Michael Jackson intends to move outside the United States. And we may have a clue where he's going from an appearance in the United Arab Emirates. Jackson turned up in Dubai, which is sometimes compared to the city of Oz. His host says he could buy property in the ****-rich nation. And Jackson made news there when he was spotted putting on makeup, inside a woman's bathroom.
