If yall would have read the blogs that were posted under the picture, you would have seen that the stance that the Deltas were doing was called a "Duck Stance" and some of the ladies of Delta said that they stopped doing it around '74 because thats when one or some of the ladies of AKA turned it into the Ivy Stance...
Now, i am not greek, but i can see both sides of the story,
cause when you see people doing a duck walk standing up, they normally have their hands down to their sides and wobble from left to right. BUT considering the facts, if it did start off as a Delta thing and then the AKA's did it, why didnt the Delta's defend it? So it is now known as the AKA's stance....
thats all i had to say, dont take it as any form of disrespect from me yall

As soon as i showed one of my roomates who's an AKA, she said "oh, i've heard about that...i think they call that the duck stance". So i guess the issue of who originated it is debatable, but the fact of the matter is...hands signs are NOT official, so they vary from place to place. These were some of the responses...
"Thank you J money...before the AKA's eva thought of being cute when they do it... My sororos done it years ago til some lil prissy chicks in pink and green decided to steal so us being the classy ladies we are .. let it ride. Sweetheart I am vey suprised that and falttered at the same time of your blog. Suprised that a lady of such ellegance would do a blog like this.... then flattered that you have an enitre blog dedicated to DST :-) **Blushes** LOL @ some of the comments. I will not entertain them because I dont want to give you ladies a history lesson that obviously your prophites missed. It is what it is... but I will say this never think think that a Red wants to be an AKA...and I will leave it at that. **smooches ladies and as always Greek Love**"
"MY best friend and cousin is AKA and I just called them to explain what was opn your blog and you know what the first thing that rolled out of their mouths was... " DID SOROR not know that was Duck stance first?" Your sorors said that. I didnt take this to heart its entertainment right now but I do find it annoying for people to laugh at something when they really have a clue as to what they are talking about."
