Calibration Technician (JN -012025-385998)

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Calibration Technician to join a client in Rancho Cordova. This is a temp to hire position. The position will be a day shift role with a start time of either 6:00 or 7:00 am. The shifts will be 8 1/2 hours Monday - Friday. Overtime may be required on Saturdays. Candidates must have experience as a Calibration Technician with electronic components.

Job Duties:

  • Perform calibration of various mechanical, electrical, electronic and high voltage equipment according to established procedures and specifications.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate calibration instruments and tools to measure and evaluate performance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed records of calibration activities, results, and any corrective actions taken.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards (ISO, ANSI, NIST), and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment to extend its useful life and minimize downtime.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of calibration procedures, processes, and techniques.
  • Coordinate with engineers and other technical staff to ensure proper equipment setup and functionality.
  • Provide training to other staff on equipment calibration processes and proper use of calibrated instruments.
  • Assist in maintaining a calibration schedule and ensure timely completion of all required calibrations.
  • Review technical manuals and specifications to ensure calibration procedures are up to date.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education
  • Associate's Degree in similar field a plus.
  • Experience in performing calibration on High Voltage TWT Test Stations, Vacuum Ion, Hi Pot, Control Solenoid, Benchtop and Rack Mount DC Power Supplies, and High DC Current Pulse Electro-Plating Power Supplies.
  • Knowledge of Precision Dimensional Measurement Instruments, Mechanical and Powered Torque Tooling required.
  • Should have a good understanding of RF Waveguide TRL (Thru-Reflect-Line) and Coaxial Connector SOLT (Short-Open-Load-Thru) Load System Component Calibrations using Filters, Directional Couplers, Attenuators, High-Power Terminations, and Standard Adapters, coupled with a strong understanding of cleaning & maintaining adapter integrity.
  • Must be able to perform general math and algebra functions
  • Should possess clear attention to detail and have good judgement
  • Must possess good written and oral, communication skills
  • Basic to advanced ability to troubleshoot, align and optimize precision equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficient in use of MS Word and Excel
  • Minimum of three years of calibration experience, some of which can be offset by formal metrology training
  • Working knowledge of ISO / IEC 17025 requirements
  • Knowledge of ANSI / NCSL Z-540 and ISO 9000 and ISO 9001:2015
  • Must have good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must be self-motivated, be able to work as a team player, and follow written procedures
  • Must pass 10 panel drug screen and background check.
  • Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
