Art, Design & Digital Fabrication, Adjunct Faculty <div id="details-info" class="tab-pane active fr-view" style="margin:2px"> <dl> <dt><h2>Class Description</h2></dt> <dd><p>CCBC is the college of choice for over <em>50,000 students</em> <em>and 200 businesses</em> each year — all with unique goals, strengths and requirements. We offer the region’s most expansive selection of degree, certificate and workplace certification programs at 3 campuses plus 3 convenient CCBC centers along with off-site community locations.<br><br><span style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;">The Art & Design department seeks part time day, evening, and weekend instructors at Catonsville and Essex campuses for studio courses including: 3D Modeling in Rhino, Drawing, Two-Dimensional Design, Three-Dimensional Design, Color Theory, Graphic Design, Painting, Ceramics, Printmaking, and Photography.</span><br><br><strong>Adjunct level 1 - $1,085 per credit hour.</strong></p></dd> <dt><h2>Minimum Requirements</h2></dt> <dd><p></p><ul style="list-style-type: disc;padding: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 40.0px;margin: 0.0px 0.0px 3.0pt;color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;"><li style="list-style-type: inherit;padding: 0.0px;margin: 0.0px;">Master of Fine Arts; or Master’s degree in related field with 18 credits in Art; or Bachelor’s degree in Art with qualifying equivalency/portfolio and successful experience as a practitioner in the field</li><li style="list-style-type: inherit;padding: 0.0px;margin: 0.0px;">Proficient computer skills and Microsoft applications knowledge </li><li style="list-style-type: inherit;padding: 0.0px;margin: 0.0px;">Experience using classroom technology and learning management systems preferred</li><li style="list-style-type: inherit;padding: 0.0px;margin: 0.0px;">Two years of teaching experience, preferably at a college level</li></ul></dd> <dt><h2>Class Specific Essential Duties</h2></dt> <dd><p></p><ol style="list-style-type: decimal;padding: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 40.0px;margin: 0.0px 0.0px 3.0pt;color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;"><li style="list-style-type: inherit;padding: 0.0px;margin: 0.0px;">Fulfills department and college responsibilities as directed by the program director and/or course coordinator</li><li style="list-style-type: inherit;padding: 0.0px;margin: 0.0px;">Abides by College wide policies and procedures regarding classroom conduct</li><li style="list-style-type: inherit;padding: 0.0px;margin: 0.0px;">Ensures instruction meets or exceeds standards established by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design </li><li style="list-style-type: inherit;padding: 0.0px;margin: 0.0px;">Employs a variety of teaching strategies to meet a diverse student population</li><li style="list-style-type: inherit;padding: 0.0px;margin: 0.0px;">Adheres to the scheduled time of class/lab</li><li style="list-style-type: inherit;padding: 0.0px;margin: 0.0px;">Develops a course syllabus that is in keeping with program and College policies</li><li style="list-style-type: inherit;padding: 0.0px;margin: 0.0px;">Ensures that program specific evaluation methods are administered and completed in a consistent and equitable manner</li><li style="list-style-type: inherit;padding: 0.0px;margin: 0.0px;">Assure that evaluation methods are appropriate and effectively assessing the established course objectives </li><li style="list-style-type: inherit;padding: 0.0px;margin: 0.0px;">Monitors student performance on a regular basis and provides feedback within a reasonable timeframe to students</li></ol><br><span style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;">#LI-DNP</span> </dd> </dl> </div> #CCBC Contact Information
