<dt><h2>Class Description</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><p style="margin: 0;">Seeking an individual able to teach a variety of engineering technology, surveying, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and/or construction management-related courses in the CCBC Engineering Department. Full load of instruction in Fall and Spring semesters, college and community service, student advising, departmental support and ongoing professional development are required. The position may involve teaching classes at multiple campuses and/or local high schools scheduled during days, evenings, or weekends. Preferred candidates are enthusiastic about content and pedagogy, use best teaching practices, and are committed to hands-on student learning.</p><br><span style="color: inherit;" data-pasted="true">For best consideration, please apply by </span>January<span style="color: inherit;"> 7, 2026. <dt><h2>Minimum Requirements</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong>Education</strong></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt; margin-top: 0"><li style="margin: 0">Masters degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.</li></ul><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><p style="margin: 0"><strong>Experience</strong></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt; margin-top: 0"><li style="margin: 0">Two years of full-time, or four years of part-time, directly related industry or teaching experience required. </li></ul></dd>
<dt><h2>Class Specific Essential Duties</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p><ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt; margin-top: 0"><li style="margin: 0">Facilitate and support student learning by developing and providing clear and effective instruction using traditional and technology-based instruction.</li><li style="margin: 0">Meet all classes as assigned during instructional periods. </li><li style="margin: 0">Communicate effectively with students by disseminating academic information including syllabi and academic policies and by responding to e-mails and phone calls from students in a timely manner.</li><li style="margin: 0">Required office hours per college policy.</li><li style="margin: 0">Provide effective and appropriate assessment with prompt qualitative and quantitative feedback.</li><li style="margin: 0">Keep instructional materials and student work organized and accessible.</li><li style="margin: 0">Maintain Learning Management System (e.g. Brightspace) site, providing students access to syllabi, grades, and other supplemental course material.</li><li style="margin: 0">Attend and participate in committee, departmental, College and School meetings.</li><li style="margin: 0">Provide College and Community Service through collegial and individual initiatives.</li><li style="margin: 0">Maintain and develop professional expertise through ongoing professional development or scholarship.</li></ol></dd>
