ABOUT THE POSITON Long Beach Community College District is currently seeking one full-time tenure track Art History Faculty commencing with the Fall 2026 semester. The Art History program within LBCC's Visual and Media Arts Department is seeking a candidate for a primary teaching assignment which involves teaching Global Art History courses in one or multiple areas of Art History specialization in Black/African Art, Asian Art, Latinx/Latin American Art, or Ancient Art. The teaching assignment may be at the Liberal Arts campus, the Trade, Tech and Community Learning campus, or other college teaching locations. The assignment may be on campus, online or off campus in different modalities or course lengths and is subject to change as needed. The ideal candidate for this position embraces the overall mission of Long Beach Community College District, with a clear, focused commitment to teaching and academic excellence, student equity, student inclusion, student learning and student success through the work of art history.
