Instructor in Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science
Phillips Academy seeks a full-time Instructor in Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science to begin in September of 2026. We are interested in candidates who are enthusiastic about teaching up and down the curriculum, from algebra to calculus and, in some cases, beyond, as well as in candidates with the desire to teach statistics and/or computer science, at both the introductory and advanced levels. We seek dynamic candidates who will be active participants not only in the academic program but also in the athletics/fitness and residential programs at this boarding school. Master’s degree plus a minimum of three years teaching experience preferred.

Salary range for this role is 50,000-126,000 annually. Placement on the Phillips Academy salary scale is based on years of experience.

Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Please visit our application portal (https://www.andover.edu/about/employment/teaching-and-administrative-faculty) to submit a résumé/CV, copies of academic transcripts, and cover letter (addressed to Benjamin Temple, Dean of Faculty). Please do not send materials directly by mail or e-mail.

The Phillips Academy community is defined by our motto, non sibi, which means “not for self.” With this guiding principle, students engage in outstanding academic, student life and co-curricular programs. The Phillips Academy Constitution charges the faculty to teach “youth from every quarter” to aspire equally to knowledge and goodness. The ideal candidate supports this commitment. In your cover letter, please address directly your experience and interest in working in such a school community.

Phillips Academy is committed to equal employment opportunity and solicits applications from all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, disability (with or without a reasonable accommodation), genetic information, veteran/military status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.

Any offers of employment will be contingent upon successful CORI/SORI and fingerprinting background checks as well as unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
