Bachelor's Level Intern: New Life Center- 6401
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Be a part of CHR’s growing organization!</strong></p>
<p><strong>INTERNSHIP TYPE:                </strong>Internship - Bachelor's Level<strong>    </strong></p>
<p><strong>HOURS/SCHEDULE:           </strong>   TBD, flexible 15-20 hours</p>
<p><strong>PROGRAM/LOCATION:        </strong>New Life Center, Putnam</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>ABOUT THE PROGRAM:</strong></span><strong> NEW LIFE CENTER</strong></p>
<p><span>CHR's New Life Center is a Residential Substance Abuse Treatment program designed to accommodate women with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders who have infants, toddlers under the age of 4yo and/or expectant mothers.  Children reside in the facility with their Mothers in order to promote a healthy parental bond with the focus of developing effective parenting skills.  Estimated length of stay is 4-6 months with the goal of preparing for a healthy and safe substance free lifestyle.  DCF involved Mothers welcomed.  Mothers and infants receive medical care at Day Kimball Hospital. </span></p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>PROGRAM OUTLINE:</strong></span></p>
<p>By participating as a Bachelor's Level Intern with CHR, you can expect to gain firsthand experience and training related to clinical mental health & substance abuse evaluation and treatment as well as other services, including assessment, working on independent living skills, outreach treatment services and medication evaluation and monitoring.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></span></p>
<p><strong>Education:</strong> Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in mental health field.</p>
<p><strong>Experience: </strong>Demonstrated experience in mental health treatment preferred but not required.</p>
<p><strong>Licensure/Certification/Registration</strong>: Valid driver’s license</p>
