Description:

The Department of Pharmacology & Physiology at Georgetown University Medical Center invites applications for a tenure-line faculty position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor (rank commensurate with experience) from candidates with expertise in neuropharmacology, neurophysiology, or closely related areas. The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative department composed of twelve tenure-line and research-track faculty with strong, externally funded programs spanning systems neuropharmacology & neurophysiology, ion channel and receptor pharmacology, neuromodulation, cellular signaling, and mechanisms of synaptic and circuit plasticity. Faculty in the department recruit graduate students from both the Ph.D. Program in Pharmacology & Physiology and Georgetown's Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience.

The Department provides a dynamic, interactive, and supportive environment, with extensive opportunities for collaboration across the Georgetown University Medical Center, including the Center for Child Development, the Center for Brain Plasticity and Recovery, the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, and numerous basic, translational, and clinical programs.

The projected salary range for this position is $146,082 - $290,841, which represents the full range of anticipated compensation for this position. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
