The Senior Experimental Machinist Perform highly skilled precision work in the design, development, machining, fabrication, assembly, and testing of a wide variety of scientific instruments and experimental equipment. Interact with scientists, engineers and students as required by supervisor on issues related to these tasks. Collaborate with a team of co-workers in a state-of-the- art facility. Requires: Vocational/technical training, excellent knowledge of Computer Numeric Control (CNC) and conventional machining techniques, CNC programming in Mastercam and a plus if knows SolidWorks for design, tooling equipment and machining standards, and a five to eight years of experience minimum.
