Regional Superintendent - Casselton, ND

Description: Oversee and coordinate day-to-day operations of multiple edible bean / seed facilities to ensure business goals are being met while maintaining consistent standards. Key responsibilities include managing staff, budgets, optimizing operational efficiency, and analyzing performance data to identify areas for improvement . The Regional Superintendent is responsible for ensuring compliance with internal safety, quality, and production policies is being maintained at all times. Compliance with multiple regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, 3rd party audits, etc.) is also required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee operations: Manage the daily activities and performance of multiple branches or locations within a region.
    • Coordinate production schedules with team members on both operations and commercial teams.
  • Staff management: Hire, train, and supervise staff.
    • Motivate, train, develop, and lead location management and regional maintenance personnel
    • Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with production, administrative, sales, and management teams.
    • Manage performance and career development of direct reports.
    • Conduct meetings and provide feedback to hourly, maintenance, administrative, and management personal. Examples include but are not limited to issuing performance reviews, , merit increases, and corrective actions.
    • Review, implement, and communicate annual goal expectations to direct reports. Conduct quarterly reviews with each report to evaluate progress towards these goals.
  • Performance monitoring: Analyze operational data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and regional reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strategic planning: Implement company and divisional strategies, set performance objectives, and develop regional plans to meet business goals.
  • Process optimization: Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Budget management: Manage regional budgets and ensure operations are cost-effective.
  • Compliance and standards: Ensure all locations comply with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
    • Maintain operational and food safety standards in accordance with ADM Operational Safety and Quality Assurance programs.
    • Lead resolution efforts for regional operational issues.
  • Assist Divisional Operations and Project team to manage projects taking place at locations within the region
    • Possess or gain in depth knowledge of edible bean handling, processing, and packaging equipment
    • Review budgets, installation, and engineering plans.
    • Assist location management in completing contractor training and daily safety reviews with contractors while on site
    • Verify installations are being completed per approved design plans and schedules
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple assignments/ tasks
  • Assist in maintaining customer relations and solving customer related problems
  • Complete and Review payroll for administrative colleagues
  • Assist location and divisional management in managing inventory of raw and processed product, packaging materials, and consumable goods
Job Requirements
  • Role requires 3-5 years of experience managing agricultural production facilities
  • Strong knowledge of industrial systems and mechanical aptitude
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing flow process, controls, and procedures
  • Computer skills which include proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common business application
  • Ability to understand, develop, and manage production schedules and meet target dates
    • This includes the ability to rapidly and strategically change schedules based on market and customer demands.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must demonstrate high level problem solving and team working skills
  • Strong leadership, organizational and inter-personal skills
    • Inter-personal skills include handling conflict, motivation, instructing and training personnel in a respectable and fair manner
  • Willingness to continuously learn, develop, and implement new management skills
  • The physical requirements of the position require the ability to climb stairs, periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces, from heights, bending, kneeling, and the ability to lift 50lbs.
