At the College of Nursing, we champion and nurture individual student success in an educational setting, while providing a rigorous but accessible education that prepares you for the nursing workplace, academia, and leadership as you progress throughout your career. You'll be encouraged, challenged and supported whether pursuing an entry-level bachelor's or master's degree or a doctor of nursing practice or Ph.D. degree. It starts with our undergraduates. The College of Nursing approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and that's thanks to our innovative, challenging and contemporary curriculum offered across all our various degree programs. Advanced degree options are available for the bachelor and masters prepared nurse with our Doctor of Nursing Practice programs, PhD in Nursing, and Post Master's Certificates. CON graduates leave our programs ready to lead and serve our nation's patients.

Job Summary

This position provides comprehensive administrative support to the Assistant Dean of Instruction and Innovation and faculty leader of the College of Nursing's Community Engagement Strategic Initiative.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Calendar and Meeting Management

Maintain and coordinate the Assistant Deans calendar.

Schedule meetings, appointments, and instructional planning sessions.

Anticipate scheduling needs and resolve conflicts proactively.

Travel and Itinerary Coordination

Arrange travel accommodations including flights, lodging, and transportation.

Prepare detailed and professional travel itineraries.

Process travel reimbursements in accordance with institutional policies.

Calendar & Scheduling Coordination

Coordinate and maintain the Nursing Faculty Leader's calendar.

Schedule internal and external meetings, events, and community engagement activities.

Send calendar invites and manage scheduling conflicts.

Meeting Coordination

Prepare and distribute meeting agendas in advance.

Take detailed meeting minutes and distribute them post-meeting.

Track follow-up tasks and ensure timely completion.

Reserve meeting rooms and set up virtual meeting links (e.g., Zoom, Teams).

Supply Management

Monitor and maintain inventory of office and event supplies.

Order necessary materials for community engagement events and faculty needs.

Coordinate with vendors and campus procurement systems.

Communication Support

Draft and send professional emails, memos, and announcements.

Serve as a point of contact for internal departments and external community partners.

Assist in preparing presentations and reports.

Event Support

Assist in planning and logistics for community engagement events.

Coordinate with community partners and stakeholders.

Manage RSVPs, event materials, and on-site support.

Documentation & Record Keeping

Maintain organized digital and physical files related to community initiatives.

Track engagement activities and outcomes for reporting purposes.

JagPulse Champion

Promoting JagPulse to students, faculty, and staff

Sharing communications and reports from the Office of Community Engagement

Encouraging consistent use of the platform

Creating and managing events

Accessing reporting tools and student participation

Medical Reserve Corps - College of Nursing

Provide Administrative Support

Maintain MRC volunteer rosters

Track compliance with MRC training

General Administrative Support

Assist with travel arrangements and reimbursements.

Support grant-related administrative tasks if applicable.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Faculty Leader.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions OR High School, GED or equivalent from a recognized state or federal accredited organization and 6 years progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Proficient in using Microsoft Office.

Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days/M-F

Pay Band: 2

Salary Minimum: $15.77/hour - $18.89/hour

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Conditions of Employment

All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.
