Job Description
Nuclear Manufacturing Technician
What Nuclear Manufacturing contributes to Cardinal Health
Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.
Nuclear Manufacturing is responsible for the manufacturing of time sensitive radiopharmaceuticals in an integrity driven, highly regulated environment (i.e. FDA, NRC, DOT) to support patient treatment through disease diagnosis, staging, and monitoring.
Schedule:
40 Hours per week
Saturday - Tuesday 10:00am - 8:30pm (10-hour shifts) or until work is complete
Must be willing to work holidays
Candidate must be flexible to work different shifts, schedules, holidays, days and overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
Works with radioactive material to manufacture radiopharmaceutical drug product
Successfully complete required training, including elearning and handson components, and maintain ongoing proficiency and compliance
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) precisely to characterize materials, monitor operational processes, and ensure product quality
Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and all regulatory requirements including but not limited to Good Documentation Practices
Maintain accurate documentation and perform entries contemporaneously, and maintain logbooks
Perform routine cleaning, manufacturing setup, batch execution, and distribution of quality compliant product
Apply FDA regulations relevant to assigned job functions
Materials management in warehouse setting
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED or equivalent or equivalent work experience, preferred.
12 years of manufacturing or pharmaceutical experience preferred
Manual dexterity for reaching, lifting, and handling small components
Ability to label, dispense, finish, and package drug product with strong handeye coordination
Radioactive material handling experience a plus
Ability to follow detailed processing instructions, communicate clearly and concisely with team members in a manufacturing environment
Strong multitasking, focus, and sound judgment
Strong customer service and teamwork skills
Powered Industrial Truck (forklift) experience is a plus
Must hold a valid driver's license
Ability to manage weight up to 75 pounds
Ability to hear, write (English), and speak (English) clearly in order to communicate in manufacturing setting.
