Supervisory Supply Technician

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 02/23/2026. ***Time-in-Grade Restriction: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements. TIG means you have held a GS grade for 52 weeks [or are within two (2) pay periods/four (4) weeks of possessing 52 weeks] at the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06 level. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50(s) that shows your TIG eligibility must be submitted with your application materials which clearly demonstrate that you meet the 52 weeks TIG requirement. Examples of SF-50s include: Within Grade Increase(s), Promotion(s), and/or Appointment action(s). Minimum Requirement: Specialized Experience (GS-07): One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-06) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Improving production or increase the quality of the work as well as implementing ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production. Maintaining stock at primary and secondary inventory locations for all clinical and administrative services. Performing daily inventory of primary and secondary inventory points using bar coding equipment on a predetermined schedule that will allow for timely replenishment orders. Coordinating a number of major work assignments, projects, and program segments of work. Providing leadership and creative solutions to resolve reoccurring and unique problems encountered within a supply chain. [MUST BE WELL DOCUMENTED IN YOUR RESUME OR APPLICATION PACKAGE. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Manages Human Resources Reasoning Technical Competence Technology Application Note: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religions, spiritual, community, student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: The work requires standing and walking during the entire workday, and frequent reaching, bending and lifting of supply packages (occasionally weighing as much as 50 pounds). Work requires pushing loaded carts of medical supplies (weighing in excess of 100+ pounds). With proper assistance, moves heavier items' weighing over 40 pounds.
