Job Summary

The Operations Specialist coordinates the organizations daily logistical operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution. Organizes warehousing for goods. Reviews inventory to ensure that product adjustments are properly applied. Plans and schedules inbound and outbound shipments to internal or external customers based on needs. Acts as a liaison between customers, freight carriers, and the shipping department. Ensures on-time delivery of goods to customers by investigating and resolving detention issues. Assists with cost control by evaluating shipments, consolidating loads, and selecting the most cost-efficient method of shipment within the Department of Defense guidelines. Career support level: Typically, 3 5 years of experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support various Property Management Outcomes, including but not limited to Acquisition, Receipt, Records, Physical Inventory, Subcontractor Control, Reports, Relief of Stewardship, Utilization, Maintenance, and Property Closeout.

  • Update official records to reflect Inventory, Movement, and Relief of Stewardship through shipment, transfer, loss, and disposal through objective evidence obtained from incoming and outgoing shipping documentation, authorized transfer documents (DD1149s, contract mods, etc.), excess property reports, etc.

  • Support internal and external property audits.

  • Adhere and perform to organizational goals.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Maintain related records associated with receipts, movements, and issuance of Consumption of Materials.

  • Arrange for transfer and issuance of materials upon arrival.

  • Take ownership for the accuracy of material and material quantities based on usage and consumption.

  • Establish and communicate material transfers from Production to Repair and Overhaul (R&O) and issue those assets to R&O Line Technicians.

  • Adhere to Communication requirements to R&O Planners of Part Shortages that will Limit any Timely Issuance of material to R&O Technicians.

  • Inspect products for quality and quantity prior to transfer and issuance to ensure accuracy to Material Records.

  • Work to meet schedules and support requirements to meet customer satisfaction.

  • Support the Material Stockroom in Monthly Cycle Counts, Annual Wall-to-Wall inventories, and receipt and issuance of materials as required.

  • Must have knowledge in working Product Receipts and Inductions and the associated SAP Transaction Codes relating to Material Transfers, Receipts, Material Pulls, Inspection Notifications, and Material Issuance.

  • Must be able to work proactively in a Team Environment.

  • Support of Voice of the Customer (VOC) solicitations and support continuous improvement initiatives and recommendations.

  • Must adhere to KBR's Zero Harm Safety Measures of Total Safety Technical Instructions (TSTIs) for Safety Adherence of Operational and Equipment usage.

Basic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.

  • In lieu of a degree, a High School diploma or GED and 4 years of work experience is preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP and Material Movement Transactions.

  • Experience with eQuip database tracking system.
