General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking an Intelligence Analyst to that is focused on threats related to Domestic Violent Extremism (DVE).
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
The essential duties and tasks of the DVE Intelligence Analyst assigned to the OCIAC include but are not limited to:
Identify and share relevant and actionable intelligence and information related to DVE threats to the operational area
Write DVE-related intelligence analysis and threat assessments, and support law enforcement investigations
Utilize publicly available information, and review real-time DVE threats and suspicious activity reports to provide situational updates and assessments to leadership and tactical decision makers
Collaborate with interagency, federal, state, and local partners to share various forms of intelligence and information of relevance to the operational area
Monitor currents events, emerging DVE threats, and relevant trends with potential impact to the operational area
Collect, organize, and review information from open-source and internal law enforcement databases to support ongoing assessments and operations
Produce intelligence reports, products, and briefings on DVE actors new and emerging tactics
Develop and provide DVE-related briefings tailored to various audiences
Utilize intelligence databases and publicly available information to produce intelligence and/or subject/target packages
Develop and maintain analytical procedures to meet changing requirements
Collect data using a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes
Perform additional duties as assigned
Participate in special projects as required
WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance
Must work onsite and be local to the area
A Bachelors degree in a relevant field preferred
A minimum of 2 years of research, analysis, and intelligence-oriented experience, particularly on DVE issues
Familiarity with social media monitoring and online search tools and applications
Ability to conduct open-source intelligence gathering to include web-based social media platforms
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Proven ability to successfully engage and collaborate with federal, state, local, and tribal public safety agency executives
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Basic writing and public speaking skills to include briefings of public safety executives and public officials at all levels of government
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Desired: an active Secret security clearance;
Additional Requirements
Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed to support critical efforts and operations
Must complete an Orange County Sheriff's Department (OCSD) background check, including a possible polygraph examination, before commencing employment or performing services at the fusion center
