What will you be doing in this role: The BMET II (Biomedical Equipment Technician) performs repair, preventive maintenance and calibration of medical equipment. Troubleshoots electronic circuits under minimum supervision; evaluates and resolves operational problems involving medical equipment and clinical networked systems at the request of clinical staff and department management; completes and records all required maintenance documentation; serves in on-call rotation.
Shift = Evenings, 1pm - 1130pm (4x10) QualificationsExperience Requirements: Two (2) plus year experience as biomedical electronics technician and familiarity with a limited but growing range of patient care and/or laboratory equipment, 3+ years of experience preferred. Knowledge of wired and wireless networks related to the medical devices. Demonstrates the ability to understand and use basic biomedical test equipment. Demonstrates a basic level of electronics knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrates an understanding of the operation and service routines for basic clinical electronic equipment. Educational/Certification Requirements: High School Diploma/GED Required. Biomedical Technology Diploma from accredited program required. Associate's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Electronics, or related field. (preferred) C.B.E.T.
