Maintenance Planner Logistics
Maintenance Planner Logistics The Maintenance Planner Logistics is responsible for analyzing and optimizing supply chain operations to ensure efficient transportation, inventory management, and distribution. They use data and metrics to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational performance.Contribute and may provide guidance to the completion of significant logistics projects.Conduct and may provide guidance for the supplier audits, assessments, and evaluations to ensure conformance to client's quality, cost, and delivery performance standards.Perform demand forecasting, distribution planning, supply chain modeling and design.Resolve complex supplier quality issues and provide appropriate support for desired supplier capability.Identify complex logistics opportunities for process improvements, inventory reductions, and cost savings.Write and edit the logistics policy and procedures.Warehousing & Inventory ControlBench stock/Floor stock managementWorking knowledge of Special Handling items (COMSEC, ESD, Shelf Life, etc.)Ability to read a Bill of Material (BOMs) and apply to Material Resource Planning (MRP)Similar experiences ( Integrated Business Planning) acceptableExperience working cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, & Business teamsShippingCreate shipping/invoicing documentsFedEx, USPS, UPS, NAVSUP, & DD1149DoD Classified ShippingInner/Outer Label, Double wrap, etc.Knows the difference between Secret, COMSEC, Sensitive, Pilferable, etc. classificationsReceivingAbility to read and understand Invoices and Packing SlipsBasic understanding of DoW ContractsExperience managing/tracking assetsHigh-Priority OrdersRepair Cycle (Reverse Logistics)Supplier ReturnsReturn Material Authorization (RMA)ModificationsDefense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO)Testing (ATP)Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Adobe AcrobatSkilled at using Excel functionsDocument ControlHas dealt with DoD Records Maintenance & Document Filing processesOrganize & Prepare Forms (Adobe Acrobat)Perform additional duties as assigned.May coach and provide guidance to less experienced professionals.May serve as a team or task lead.Prior-Military Supply or Material Management MOS/Rate/AFSC desiredActive Secret Clearance RequiredSupervision Received:Works independently under general supervision GDIT IS YOUR PLACEAt GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do.
