Senior System Administrator-TS/SCI w/Polygraph
Senior Systems Administrator Transform technology into opportunity as a Senior Systems Administrator with GDIT. A career in enterprise IT means connecting and enhancing the systems that matter most. The job duties of the Sr. Systems Administrator are as follows: Plans, designs, and implements infrastructure changes and system upgrades.Manages and troubleshoots multiple VMware environments.Provides Windows Server and Linux administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Creates STIG compliant images for Windows Desktop, Windows Server, and Linux OS.Creates, tests, and deploys software packages using software deployment products such as SCCM, PDQ, etc.Provides expert level support and mentoring for Mid and Junior Systems Administrator personnel.Develops and maintains installation and configuration procedures for system and software changes.Utilizes scripting to automate common tasks.Performs hardware maintenance/repair activities.Ensures proper planning and execution of major projects/maintenance activities.Provides advanced level administration and troubleshooting of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and Domain Controllers. Required Qualifications:Ability to write scripts using PowerShell and/or Bash.Experience managing VMware, Nutanix, and other types of enterprise level Virtual Infrastructures.Proficient in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory and Group Policy Object (GPO).At least 10 years of relevant experience.Security + Certified; Must presently be 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2 preferred)Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in a field applicable to this workUS Citizenship RequiredTS/SCI with CI Poly Desired QualificationsLinux OS (CentOS, RHEL) administration.Satellite server administration.Ansible playbook writing.Implementing STIGs.Experience supporting a software configuration management and development environment GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsCutting-edge technology you can learn fromRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays
