Claim to fame DURING college? I did a LOT... R.O.T.C., Ranger Challenge Team National Society of Pershing Rifles Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. (Va Brother of the Year 2001-2002) National Pan-Hellenic Council President 2001-2002 New York Pre-Alumni Caribbean Students Association (Advisor 2003-2004) N.A.A.C.P. (Assistant Advisor 2003-2004) Honor Student Langston Hall Cabinet Honda Campus All-Star Challenge University Council G.A. (Puryear Hall: '02-'03, Nicholas Hall: '03-'04) Mr. VSU 2001-2002 AFTER College... I'm currently a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, Medical Services Corps.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable event from college was graduation weekend. It symbolized a phase-change of my life. I ended my undergraduate career and began life as a REAL adult. That weekend, I received my commission as an Army officer and I received that all-important degree (I graduated Cum Laude). Graduation meant that I not only comleted the academic requirements of my degree, but I also endured four years of growth and personal insight. I can actually reflect and track my progress and transformation into a successful, confident, viable and capable leader. College is not just about learning in the classroom; MOST of your learning is done outside the classroom. You learn about yourself, your strong points and your less-than strong points. Your capabilities and your limitations. You learn to push yourself farther then what you THINK you're capable of doing. I owe so much to my friends, family, and supporters at Virginia State University. At VSU, I TRULY received the education of my life...
