To continue the converstation my boy edward started. I read some of tha response u laides wrote. Ya'll said "no spitten games. just be urself, swagger and confidence, doesn't have to be cute( yea right), and intelligent". So tell me this ladies. If thats what ya'll like. Why are so many of ya'll talkin to Thugs, Gangsta's, and drug dealers. People who have nothin goin for themselves, who are gonna end in jail, or shot. Is it that ya'll feel safe around them ? Is it tha drug money they got? I don't get it eventually u in up gettin hurt yourselves?

Well to be honest with you, I was just discussing this issue with my brother. I used to be the type who would only talk to thugs, gangstas, and drug dealers until I got a reality check. I almost lost my life to one. I also have talked to guys who have beautiful personalities and something going for themselves. That's exactly what I go for now. If you don't have high expectations for yourself, what do I want with you? I know that I look for someone with a good head on their shoulders, respectful, caring, easy to get along with, and real. That's just me. Holla at ya girl. One!

I think women go for their expectations. Meaning if one of their standards is for their guys to have money and it just so happen that the guy their looking at is a drug dealer and likes to spend money then they have what their looking for. Women are looking for what they want. Someone to protect them might be a gang member who holds a gun or knows how to fight or something. They dont look for the negatives when searching for what they want. I mean it comes to their mind yes but if their passion for this person presents itself stronger than the person's flaws then the flaws are just going to get pushed to the side. We truely ignore the flaws within a person because women are open-minded most of the time in hope that they'll get what they want out of the relationship and to add a bonus the guy will change his lifestyle and still have what we fell for when we met that person. When looking for a soul mate you look at the first impression and how act but you dont really see the flaws until you get to know them. After the flaw are presented its the women's choice on whether they want to stick with the guy or not.

You said it my brother...thugs, gangster, playas (and wanna be playas), ballas and the total waste of protoplasm the "down low brotha" ....and the there the chosen, the few, brothas who are focused ..like you. and if there (hypothetically) 3 women to 1 man our choices are scarce. And to add insult to injury if we have been predisposed to dysfuntional relationships(abused-s*xually,phsycially,mentally,emotionally by family and/or loved ones, absentee fathers) you(men) have to be patient enuf to to carry the baggage and sentitive enough to understand.Because we truly dont know that you are "the one" a "knight in shining armour".And that takes a special kind of man. Then there are those of us that have been raised to be girlfirned and wify material. But now you are damaged by the sista with the baggage, absentee father, absentee mother or raised by your grandmother and now we "the focused one"have to be sensitive and understanding to you. It's a vicious cycle and thats a loaded question.

I would have to say that females tend to go with drug dealers, hustlers and thugs because we want to feel like they will love us to the point where they will want to change...dating people who are not on the same level as you has to do with a maturity thing...once you reach a certain level in your maturity and you plateau, then the things that used to appeal to you will no longer seem attractive...
