In response to Johnny Slater....

In response to Johnny Slater....
Posted By: Lindsey Farlough on July 17, 2005

Ok, I feel what Johnny is saying, but I'll speak up for us girls.

Ok, gentlemen, why is it that everytime us girls walk down the street ya'll stare like we have paint on our face? I don't appreciate being stared at. Do ya'll know how that feels to pass by a group of dudes and have them gauking at you and hollering out the color of whatever shirt you have on? Like " Say Red, let me holla at you." That is not and has never been attractive. Why can't the fellaz just politely walk up to a girl be like hey I saw you passin and you caught my attention, can we talk for a minute. Or something simple like that. Not " Hey Caramel Skin", or " Damn look at her ass" after we stroll by.

Why everytime we pass ya'll do some sort of dip to look at our butts?

I can't speak for all the ladies, but I know personally I like the dudes with the subtle approach. The guys who will pull you away from the crowd so he can actually hear you talk and not have you hear his friends. The guys who don't fill our heads with lies, but keep it real no matter what. The guys that don't try to prove their man hood through sex, but rather with maturity. The guys that will hug you when you're cold and not just give you their jacket.I don't care if it's the most thuggish dude around or a new age metrosexual, it's all about that first impression, that eye contact, that slight smirk when you agree to exchange numbers, the feeling that the guy is actually into you and not literally trying to get into you. Let me know something ya'll....

Well as a dude i think I can comment on that. See every person is different and it all depends on what you looking for. Most or almost all of the guy's that say stuff like yo come here or red let me holla at you, Are guys that dont have nothing going on for themselves and are not educated guy's that have their head on there shoulders. The guys that dont do that are mostly going to college believes in god and attends church and things like that, come at you different in a polite respectful way is what I observed threw these years. But it all depends on the guys character which what a person is. I dont come at females like that and never would and i really dont hang around anyone that does.

Well me personally, I try to be the mature guy, and say that, excuse me, can i talk to u for a minute but, most females dont respond to that. and then if she is wit her friends, they always have something to say. But it seems as if the loud rude approach works, but at the same time the smooth sudtle works. I feel that it depends on who u r tryin to talk to. It all is in the females hands, whether she accpets or declines the approach taken by the male.

I'm going to say this. Take it as a compliment. It may get on your nerves and whatnot, but you would rather be stared at and admired than ignored and despised.

You look good; be proud of that. If the dudes look at your butt, don't let it faze you. Just calm down, and take it as a compliment. Some guys may not approach you correctly because they don't know how. Let them know you hate that approach, and they may holla at you a different way next time.

And there will always be the stupid guy...so don't let that bother you either...let him bother everyone else...
