"Finding Your Place"

"Finding Your Place"
Posted By: Vernell Gore on August 02, 2009

There is nothing better than going home. Whether its after going to visit your relatives, after your first stay away from home, or visiting a friend. Home holds a security and peace that no other place can compare. Its where you let your hair down so to speak, you walk around with your shoes off and you don't have to watch your back. Its where you breathe an exhale of releif and comfort. You are at a place of peace and it is felt and greatly received. I remember the trips I took home when in college and it was where I was important to someone and I counted. Not a number in the computer, a face without a name in the crowd. But I found a place outside of that place which spoke to me a greater peace than my parents home. It was in God. When I discovered my place in the eyes of God I breathed a breathe of at last. It was a place of renewed self. I found my ideintity, my value my worth. My esteem went through the roof.

The mind of God speaking in time about me and calling me into an existence with my OWN Sovreign Father who loved me so much that he wrote a book (Bible) for me to know who I was to him. And not only that he left me PROMISES, promises that are eteranlly spoken above times and seasons and man's reasons. He was talking about ME. It was a breath of finally. College could not do it, a new boyfriend could not do it, trinkets of material possessions could not touch the depth of the power of this knowleged to my soul. I stood more upright, I walked with a confidence that made others want to know what had changed and it gave me an opportunity to speak of this grace. The awesome thing about this place is it was a place I could tell others they too could find. Some needed rest, some healing, some peace, some acceptance, some direction, some just to breathe that breath and know their life has a meaning above all trials, fears, opinions no longer controlling their view of self. Now this is TRUE prosperity. It reached the core and said LIVE. No performance, no expectations of man to answer to, no standard that changes with seasons just LOVE. Nothing like going home.
