I know Shantell, it's just plain ridiculous. How can they say they are for equality when every thing the present does is viewed through a race perspective?

Being the "1st" when it comes to breaking barriers, especially racial barriers, is always the hardest and the most scrutinized. I believe that President Obama fully understood this when he chose to run and he prepared himself and his family for the reality of it once it became evident that he really had a chance to win. He and his wife, Michelle, are very grounded, intelligent people. They know that in the land that boasts the most intelligence, we have the most ignorance. I like to think that President Obama would be shocked if they weren't over scrutinizing him. At least he is reassured, daily, that some of the American people are paying attention to him. Of course, I jest but there is some truth in that statement. As long as they keep his name on their lips, typing and dialing fingertips and front pages, we can chart there course of discourse and assemble the needed precautions and rebuttals to their growing divisive rhetoric. Freedom of speech, the bain of the intelligent person because the ignorant are protected under that guise also. That's America, though and as long as the people that matter know and see what President Obama is doing and attempting to do, I believe he will be a leading candidate if not the only sensible candidate for President again in 2012. So, let those of under-educated and self-loathing with nothing to do but throw stones from inside their glass castle have their moments. We would all be wise to know where they are anyway. That way we can avoid geting caught up in the thick of thin things.
