All my life I always knew I wanted to go to college to better my future. However, here I thought I could do better than my mother and father to make it pass high school doing the career of my dreams. But never did I look at the cost and how hard it is to find free money for college. In the 8th grade I started to apply for scholarships and since then I have never even received one yet. When I was growing up going to college wasn’t something that was pushed in my household. The main thing I always heard was passing high school was the most important thing, finishing high school had to be done and my household or you had to move out. I’ve always grew up and a single parent home watching my mother struggle to take care of her two daughters and her son. We went from living and the lower income homes in Florida to staying with someone in Delaware to living in the shelter.

But over the years my mother did what she had to do to get us out of that life. I look back at how my life used to be and thank god I made it through it all and know that just because I went through that doesn’t mean I have to give up on the things I want. Through out my high school years I wasn’t always the star student when it came to school work. But never did I ever let that change my mind of going to college. I just knew someday no matter how bad my grades was someone would accepted me to attend there college. I’ve always told myself to never let finances problems stop you from going but little did I know that the government would be so strict and to greedy to help a family out that makes less than 75,000 . I was able to get accpected to saint augustine's colleg and cant attend this fall do to a balcance of 17800 please help me my mother wont cosign and some banks have turned me down
