I am a high school student going off to college in the Fall. I was reading your blog. I can see you point of view on the whole situation. It is about time for you to let your daughter grow. She is 18 and if you know your daughter you know then you should how she is going to react. You have to give her time to grow and become a young lady. The last time you want to do is to let your daughter feel that you do not treat her as an adult. That is when you have college students and young adults act a fool. Best wishes

My daughter is a junior this year and we are preparing to send her to TSU next fall. I am concerned about her as well. I think we have to remember how it was for those of us who were on campus as college students. We have to be open with them and let them know what's out there and how important it is to make good decisions. It's easy to get caught up before you realize it. Above everything else, we have to remember to pray for our children, specifically that God will control their hearts and minds while they are experiencing adult situations.

Believe me when I say children learn by example. Do your very best to set good examples for your children, pray for them and let them live their lives. If you've shown them anything positive, they're sure to retain it and put it to good use.
