Back to Basics: Part 1

Posted By: Bryan Patton on October 12, 2009

My goal and purpose with this project is to create more fathers in this world. I gave this speach with the hopes of encouraging men to be the father figures the kids of today require in their lives. I have come to find out that I need not just focus on turning men into fathers, but actually focus on the children themselves. I was placing so much emphasis on the men in these children's lives that I was placing less attention to the children. I have to come to realize that there are more people in the lives of these precios children. I have a newfound focus, and with God I shall reach the goal of ensuring a future for the children of today.

Hello Mr. Patten,

Your efforts would best be served to focus on planting the seed of sovereignty or complete independence in the minds of Black Americans who are descendents of slaves on a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders to pursue life, liberty, happiness and prosperity in our own way.

You cannot reform men and children in an environment that exerts influence on them, which has produced a dysfunctional people out of slavery.

Take for example, when a child is being abused, the first thing the authorities do is to remove the child from the abusive environment that any reformation to the child could be helpful.

Black Americans must be removed from the environment and influences of White America.

In addition, do you not think it is about time Black Americans desire to have their hand on the wheels of their own destiny?

Tell me what you think.
