Posted By: Marsha Cole on November 02, 2009 The Workplace Hollywood College Internship Program (WHCIP) is designed to provide college students with the hands on work experience and on the job training from industry professionals. WHCP offers credit only and paid internships. Our internship program is year-round with an emphasis on careers behind the scenes of the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, CA. Benefits for students: ** Provides work experiences in a field / major of interest. ** Creates a springboard from college to a career. ** Strengthens background in a field of choice. ** Opportunity to cultivate relationships early in career planning stage. Hiring companies have included: ABC, CNN, Disney, Fox Entertainment Group, NBC Universal, Sony Pictures Entertainment, The Walt Disney Studios, Turner Broadcasting, Warner Bros., among others. Departments: Gaming, Engineering, MIS, TV, Contract Administration, Publicity, Sales, Special Events, Tours, Corporate Traffic/ Logistics, Procurement, Corporate Archives, Business Affairs/ Legal, Finance/ Accounting, Development, Acquisitions Media Research, Technical Operations, Marketing/ Advertising, Animation Production, Human Resources, Consumer Products, Home Video Operations & Creative Services and many other exciting departments. Requirements: ** must be an actively enrolled in a college or university (Students must reside in Los Angeles, CA during internship). ** must be pursuing a career in entertainment (i.e. film, finance, music, media, law, business). Note: all positions are business-based, so no actors, fashion designers, stylists, make-up artists, etc. ** must have a minimum 2.5 GPA ** must have strong communication and computer skills, detail oriented, and a winning, can-do attitude!
