i've been in 1 long distance relationship and i'm bout to start another one soon. The first one was weird. I guess it truly was the distance that broke us up. I had met this girl on a cruise one summer and it wasn't love at first sight, it was more like love at first conversation. We had a lot of stuff in common. Even our lives were similar. The same problems she had been through i had been through. After about 3 months i could truly say i loved her. She did everything to make me happy but i guess i didnt appreciate her cuz i started to push myself away from her. we were originally supposed to the same college but that didnt work out. she went somewhere else. it was great while it lasted. Now i'm bout to start school and my current girlfriend of about a year and a half will still be in high school. now that im a lil' older than i was in my first long distance relationship, i think i'll be able to handle it much better. This girl is the love of my life 4 real so i would hate myself if i did something to hurt her. so i guess it will work out. But just to throw some advice out there to people in long distance relationship, don't talk about s*x at all. i think it makes people think about it more and provides temptation.

Well i went my boyfriend for 4 years and when we went our separate ways for college things took a turn for the worse... 1st of all if u used to seeing each other on a daily basis then thats one thing that going 2 hurt the relationship and then worryin about if other females are trying to get wit ur and then u meet new ppl on ur campus and jus talkin on the phone to ur boyfriend is not enough so the u start to interact wit the males around u and eventually feelings will start to arise i know from experience my boyfriend was telling me that he was single and i found out different when i came home for christmas long distance didn't work for me

Well I personally was in a long distance relationship for two years!!! I believe if you want something you will make it work no matter what. But with that type of relationship you both have to TRUST and have have good lines of COMMUNICATION. If not then it won't work. While mine didn't work, I can honestly say that I felt that I had a better long distance relationship then the ones that were close. It's hard so don't expect it to be easy.
