I have no way of telling whether you are Japanese, Black American who is a descendent of slaves, a Babylonian or an Egyptian. You left me no hint except that you believe you are a real Hebrew. Perhaps you are Jewish I do not know until you declared to me that you are a descendent of Moses. Therefore, when responding please be clear about who you are. Can this word be accurately applied to any modern American?” I cannot answer your question since my task is about Black Americans who are descendents of slaves and not modern Americans. Therefore, the first part of your comment I could agree with, but the second part when you say modern American I cannot answer that part because I do not know what you mean. For instance, it would be the same as asking Moses was the Exodus for Egyptian people as well. The Egyptian people were not in bondage. Modern Americans were not African slaves bought at slave auctions and picked cotton. However, my ancestors were. How do you come up with these ignorant questions to ask me? What say you? Harry Watley const. contractor/ retired at self Hello Steve, You asked me to explain how the word subjugate applies to Black Americans who are descendents of slaves. Well, today’s American Blacks descended from people that were born into slavery. Since Black American’s ancestors were slaves they were subjugated and or in bondage. Most of all what identifies Black Americans, as a subjugated people are that they are without a country, without sovereignty or complete independence from White Americans who bought their ancestors with real English money 500 years ago. Today this entire group of people, American Blacks is at the bottom of White society and has always been at the bottom. White Americans sadly admits that racism across-the-board is practiced heavily against this group of people. Medical apartheid is heavily practiced against this group of people as well. Lastly, ignorance is a clear sign of subjugation and Black Americans are so ignorant, as the Hebrew people were in the days of Moses, that they presently do not want to become a sovereign people. Black Americans thinks so little of themselves that they do not want a portion of this continent that they could call their very own country with borders to pursue life, liberty, happiness and prosperity in their own way. To become a sovereign people would lay the grounds that perhaps one day in the future their descendents could become the leader of the free world as White Americans are today. Only a subjugated group of people filled with ignorance would reject such a blessing, am I right. What say you? Friday, November 27th 2009 at 10:34AM
