Hand Dance for Beginners (Singles & Couples) Proclaimed the official dance of the Nation’s Capital, learn this smooth style of 6-count, Swing dancing, featuring turns, and various circular and slotted patterns. D.C. Hand Dancing is done to moderate and fast tempo Blues, Motown-style oldies and Disco music. Students change partners frequently, NO partner is required! For singles, couples, trios and bring your friends! 8 sessions; $56 class fee, for single registrants; non-county residents, $71. Ballroom Wedding Dances, for Beginners (Couples) Learn to dance for that special occasion, your wedding, or just take the course to learn the three most common ballroom dances, Waltz, Foxtrot, and Rumba. These are the three basic slow dances that couples usually choose for their special, first dance together. Instruction will focus on proper dance position, how to lead and follow, and some basic patterns that you can use to form a routine for your first dance. 8 sessions; $56 class fee, for single registrants; non-county residents, $71.
