HBCU for me?

Posted By: Desiree Smith on October 05, 2010 Ive recently taken an interest in going to an HBCU. My family attended one and now its my turn. Being raised in diverse schools systems though, HBCU's were NOT in my top 5. I didnt look at race. But one experience of being around 99% African Americans made it known that i LOVE the school spirit and atmosphere. Now i am struggling to accept which school should i attend. The more college visits i do , the more i fall in love with HBCU's. So my question is, (besides the obvious) Why an HBCU?
