True Spiritual Wisdom Never Makes Mistakes

True Spiritual Wisdom Never Makes Mistakes
Posted By: WILLIAM W. HEMMANS III on December 01, 2010

Proverbs 4:7 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you.

Proverbs 4:23 ABOVE ALL ELSE , GUARD YOUR HEART, FOR IT IS THE WELLSPRING (A SOURCE OF CONTINUOUS SUPPlY) OF LIFE.

I am up late, but sometimes you have to stay up late and get your spiritual homework done.

I had Play Practice (1st time trying this…) tonight at Church, got in late. Had to hit some business email back, eat, shower, get clothes ready. I had been at practice since 6:30p, have practice all this week and next up until 1st shows. As I was heading in, I took a walk to pray to myself, I tend to do that at times, enjoying the peace, quiet and weather.

In bed, I was compelled to read some Word, I came across Proverbs 4. Boom, my answer came.

I looked up the word “wellspring”, means source of continuous supply. Have you or have you known anybody to be tired, drained, and weary? Not from work, but from relationships with certain people.

I see it here, I know it is common, people who are tired, frustrated, easily distracted.

It hit me; we have to do a better job of guarding our hearts. I see the amount of great writers, men and women on here. I think people with good hearts, tend to open up and share their hearts with people easier. But there are people, people who catch your business, not share their business. Somewhere I remember a saying about be careful of those who you share with, but they are not sharing with you.

If you share something, have them share something, and then you are even. One reason I like going to the beach area, those exclusive areas is because and I have said this before, I am even with them and they are even with me. We know nothing about each other. I am just as rich as you are.

True friendship has to be tested and tried, it has to be earned. I believe all things happen for a reason.

It only takes one situation to find out what a person really thinks about you. I remember a cousin of mine telling me, “What people say in jest, they usually mean it…” They are not joking, they cover it up with a smile and say, “hey you know I’m just joking right?” Beware of that psychological rhetoric. Anyone know what I’m talking about?

In guarding your heart, this is not just for strangers.

The Bible warns us, like when King David writes, it is those who are closest to you that can cause the most damage. Also when I think about this Scripture, it is not talking about a few, it is talking about the average. Think about it, even Jesus only had his certain inner circle of Peter, James and John (who was the closest to his heart).

If you are a people person, you tend to come into contact with more people. It is one thing to share a hello, how are you doing, inspire, motivate, and share a scripture or a story; it is another when you share those things in your heart that opens you up to being vulnerable, wounded.

A TRUE FRIEND, NEVER , NEVER, EVER, USES YOUR HEART AS A WEAPON AGAINST YOU. ONLY THE DEVIL DOES THAT. A true friend can disagree, debate, but never uses your heart against you, think about it.

What are some of the things of your heart? The things God has destined for you to do, the things God has called you to do. Think about it. How many people on here have had someone tell you what you should not be doing, but you know in your soul, this is the path God has designed for you. Why does it wound? Look at the patriarchs and matriarchs of the Bible. When someone spoke against their destiny like Joseph and his brothers or David and his brothers, they were wounded. And since those who knew more than the average person about them, what did those closest do to them? What they could not stop in word, they ended up doing in wrongful deeds, that took them years to overcome, and God was directly for Joseph, David and others, like He is with people as today. God is the same yesterday as He is today. And just because a kind act is done, like a man taking a woman to Burger King at 3 a.m. in the morn, does not mean they have your best interest to heart. I use that as a paradigm. That kind act can be an act of selfish desire, all about the giver all along.

Not guarding your heart sends out warning signals at first and when not heeded, this can have a chain reaction on every aspect of your life.

I’m going to sleep now, have to be up at 6a.

ABBA Bless

p.s. Have you ever noticed you don’t fire back on people the way you really could if you wanted to?

Think about what David could have done to Saul or Nabal or what Joseph could have done to his brothers.
