Posted By: Zaykeria Miranda on January 13, 2011 Hi! I picked up a HBCUCONNECT "mini magazine" for the first time today. The issue was old, but it did not take away from it's freshness at all! Although Albany State University's Homecoming date was not listed among the other HBCUs. Nevertheless, the professionalism, diverse coverage, and "coolness" of the stories drew me to check out the website. So I'm here blogging as a member! Welcome:) It's refreshing to see HBCUs promoted in such a positive light. By the way, I happen to be a new Mass Communication w/ a concentration in Journalism major (former English major). One of my classes are African American Images in the Media..and well our image is not so flattering in the media. I have noticed that we seldom win for loosing, but HBCUCONNECT my friends.. this is WINNING! I'm proud to be an emerging black professional. So I welcome myself down a fiery trail you all are blazing as well as welcome you into my world through the blog-o-sphere.
