Throw away your McDonalds Monopoly Pieces

I feel like that a lot but every now and then I get a clue that let's me know someone really understands how the world works. Leaving the airport in Memphis, TN I saw a McDonalds Hash Brown wrapper crumpled up on the ground. As I looked closer I noticed something...the Monopoly pieces were still attached. This person saved themselves the agony and misery of collecting Monopoly pieces all month. They also spared their friends the agony of having them breathe down their neck at the office..."HEY MAN LET ME SEE YOUR GAME PIECES I'M GONNA WIN THIS TIME!!" You're not going to win. You might win a free apple pie or a burger but nothing substantial. The Winning game piece you need is at a McDonalds on the other side of the country. And not only is your winning piece on the other side of the country, A LITTLE CHILD HAS YOUR PIECE. A child who could care less about "Park Place" or "Boardwalk" That little kid threw away your winning Monopoly piece. The same way he threw away that winning bottle cap from Pepsi, and the same way he ate the special colored M&M that would've won someone a million bucks or something. Who found the magic colored M&M? No one. That's why you never see the winner announced. One time in High School I ate 2 hash browns a day for 4 weeks straight. Praying to the Monopoly Gods every night that I finally get that "Pennsylvania Avenue" piece so I could get that Ford Mustang and quit riding the school bus. A free mustang and all I had to do was eat McDonalds everyday for a month. In hindsight I find it hilarious because I've had co-workers who do the same thing. They go to McDonalds the entire time the game is going on. But these are the same people who voted "NO" to Alabama having a state lottery. I guess they'd rather spend their money on Scratch-and-Win Hash Browns. Way to go a--hole. You finally won. You won a free small fry from McDonalds, and you only had to eat 18 Big Macs to do it. I've given up all hope of winning ANY game that's tied into a snack I'm eating. I'm not going to collect a bunch of caps to spell a sentence and I'm not going on the internet every night to some website filled with pop-ups to see if I'm a winner. And if I am a winner it'll take you 4-6 weeks to send me the damn coupon for my free Mountain Dew only to get to the corner store in West Birmingham and have the pissed black lady at the counter say "WE AINT TAKING DEM KIND OF COUPONS" If I go to McDonald's it'll be because I'm craving McDonalds not because I need 3 more game pieces. With that being said...I just wanted everyone to know that I every time I go to McDonald's I throw away your game pieces. I'm sorry. I hope we can still be friends.
