YBE Magazine concludes first full year of publication
Posted By: Eric Foster on December 11, 2013

"It's all about the young black experience."

Atlanta, Georgia – YBE Magazine recently launched its 4th quarterly issue in December, completing its first year of publication. After 10 years as a web/blog site, YBE successfully transitioned to a publication with its first issue in March 2013.

“It’s been a great year producing the magazine,” says Eric Foster, founder and chief editor of YBE Magazine. “It’s been challenging, but fulfilling to see the magazine materialize and for our audience to be as supportive as they have been.” Since launching the magazine this year, YBE’s website has had over 125,000 visitors and over 300,000 page views.

With the successful release of the final issue of 2013, Foster is very optimistic about YBE’s future. “We’ve developed great partnerships throughout the year and I am excited for the new opportunities that 2014 will bring.” Among the contributors and partnerships that YBE has made during the year are men’s health website HealthyBlackMen.org; blogger Isom Kuade of IsomKuade Journal; psychologist Dr. Donald E.

Grant, Jr., executive director of Mindful Training Solutions, LLC; and activist Taurean Brown.

The current issue of YBE Magazine features an exclusive interview with Ricardo Wrice, founder and CEO of Phase II Performing Arts Organization, Inc., a non-profit based in Atlanta that provides a platform for students to showcase their talents while fostering student development and academic success. Additionally, Dr. Donald E. Grant, Jr. discusses how we should manage holiday stress and financial experts offer advice on financial planning and budgeting during the holidays.

About the young black experience, YBE targets young black men to empower and inspire them to be successful and responsible in all aspects of life. YBE is currently a quarterly magazine published in March, June, September and December. For more information on YBE, visit www.ybemagazine.com or follow us on social media:
