HBCU Entreprenuers BUILD $6 Million Business
|
Posted By: Sheri Crawley on December 21, 2005 Since our days on the campus of Florida A&M University, where we met and received numerous degrees for both Business and Health Administration we knew we wanted more. We were both successful with Fortune 500 companies, however, the corporate politics and endless rat race, wore us down after five years. After working for such companies such as IBM, ADP and Mass Mutual we decided to open an upscale ice cream and coffee café “ Dreams of Cream”. It was a quaint break from the laptops and boardrooms, says Sheri Muhammad, however the trade off was no better option. The large investment, overhead and employee related issues were just too taxing for the minuscule return. It was two weeks before we sold our shop when we were introduced to Executive Marketing Group. There was no selling, inventory or large investment. The rest has been an awesome journey as well now are living a debt free life and have time to share as a family with our daughter and are also expecting our second child. Corey Muhammad says "today we are earning an exceptional six-figure income and are helping so many individuals not only financially duplicate what we have done, but more importantly we are changing peoples lives in the area of physical health and environmental wellness." Our team is comprised of many of our associates from FAMU or other HBCU's. We thank God that we have the quality of life that we had always imagined for ourselves and it didn't take our whole lives to find it. www.executivemarketinggrp.com If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |

Congratulations to you both. You're what success is made of and I applaud you. I work with a group of students at Prairie View A&M University and we've organized the Entrepreneurs Association to assist them in establishing and running their own businesses while in college. Hopefully, they'll generate enough business to minimize their work time in corporate america, if they choose too. Be good!
