Rock and Roll

Rock and Roll
Posted By: Dion McNeil on February 04, 2005

I'm sitting here wondering why everyone hates rock music or at least why black people seem to dislike rock so much. I don't see what's wrong with it. I personally love rock and roll music. Always have, always will.

The beats just don't make my head nod... And the wild guitars kinda annoying to me personally... Though I bet you'd be suprised how many cats do like it. I never got into it mostly cause the guitars and wild singing, but maybe i'm stereotyping it.

Let me guess, you listen to rap music? Don't you even know that rap is a product of rock and roll? Without rock, hip-hop wouldn't even be around and you'd almost HAVE to listen to rock. Sorry, I know that sounds like I'm bashing hip-hop but I am. I just dislike rap for all the money, cash, women, jewelry and car songs it always produces. Rap is dieing anyways, rock is going to take over...so I don't have much to worry about.

I listed to alot of caribbean music, a little rap/hip-hop, but I don't like alot of the mainstream rap music on the radio. It's what moves you, and for me, rock ain't movin' me.

Once again, in the future, it won't really matter rather people like rock or not. Rock is taking over if you haven't already noticed on the radio stations. Mainly hip-hop radio stations are slowly but surely playing rock and roll songs on air. Rap is dieing off slowly and with the crap artists out now it's no wonder this is happening...
