Posted By: Atia W. on March 06, 2006 You say “ why do you have an attitude you don’t have problems?” Only if you knew about my problems You might understand Why I withstand In this day and time To find Out what’s on my mind What I go through Day after day To see why I say Don’t speak on things you know nothing about And why I shout What I go through now is worse than you did so How Can you say “You don’t have bills to pay!” Why I say We may Not have bills But we feel The weight that wrecks families like a freight Train And feel the rain of tears from our peers They cry because no one will listen To what their givin’ Insight into their life And all the strife People put them through So now you can’t say “ Why do you have an attitude you don’t have problems?” Now you know about our problems You can understand Why we withstand In this day and time To Find Out What’s On My Mind If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |

Tight poetry Sis. Deep. I feel what You are saying. Many times people won't respond because they are going through it but present selves as fakes or for their own rightful reasons, they don't speak out...
