This might be the right option for you if you want to see if this is the right career track for you before diving into a college degree program. College Degree SQL programming classes are required in most computer science and information technology degree programs. Your experience in SQL Server performance tuning will give your future IT career a solid start. DBAs need to know SQL Server as part of their skill set, and the most qualified also have bachelor’s degrees in information technology or business administration. SQL Server performance tuning is both an art and a science. Finding the right problems to solve is critical for efficiency, and learning the right skills will make you a valuable asset to any business with IT needs.
