Mama Goose Writes 1,030 Books in 2017

Posted By: Frederick Roberts on January 12, 2018 Mama Goose, affectionately viewed as “the Goose who laid the golden egg,” is living up to the name precisely with her creative ability to write a limitless number of children’s books that are sure to keep readers of all ages hungry for more. After launching a successful Book Concert in 2017, Mama Goose embarked on one of the most ambitious writing goal ever in recorded history - to write at least one book a day. Well, she surpassed that goal and at the end of December 31, 2017 she had penned more than 1,250, including her top sellers - Sammy, Please Behave (playing pranks on teacher and forcing early retirement), The Eyes of Texa (teaching about Texas symbols and making it a 'fun' learning experience), Ka'Myrah The Mermaid Princess (taking a stance against bullying and reinforcing self-esteem) and Chocolate City (curiosity and imagination that transforms their city). Her books embrace cultural diversity in words and ethnic illustrations from a diverse group of graphic artists which brings life to the story line. Mama Goose (her legal name) uses her Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Leadership to instill within children a passion for reading which is a life-long skill. She is passionate with her writings and takes makes the various subjects enjoyable but educational for the young and old readers. Her goal is to make reading pleasant again! She and her affectionate husband and book publisher, Papa Goose, have been educators for almost twenty years. Mama Goose can be described as witty and as magical as Mary Poppins, as creative as Willie Wonka, as heart capturing as Santa Claus. Mama Goose is a Texas-certified school teacher in the following areas: Generalist (Grades EC – 6), Generalist (Grades 4 – 8), Generic Special Education ( Grades PK – 12), ESL (Grades EC – 12), and Principal (Grades EC – 12). She has more than eighteen years of experience inspiring young minds in the State of Texas. She is a former Miss Collegiate African American and Miss Prairie View A&M University, and appeared on Star Search and CMT Be A Star contests.
