Transition
|
Posted By: Teshima Watson on March 31, 2006 Its funny how how one thing leads to another and then another and then another. Sometimes these changes happening so quickly or the transition is so sudden we don't even notice until the change has already occurred. Sometimes we make the mistake and try to speed things up, try to move faster than we should, try to get things done quickly - only to find that we aren't doing it right. But then comes the time in life when we know exactly what is going on, we know exactly what change will occur and what the outcome will be. For me most of my changes are usually drastic (for the outside world) and happening without warning. One minute I'm all perky and all fun, the next I'm reserved and introverted. When I make a change it seems like i just decide one night to do it, but that's only for those who don't pay attention or who lack the insight to know what they are looking for. However, my most recent change happened to me suddenly and its left me more confused but aware. It has also left a lot of people unaware about what is going on with me, but it has opened my eyes about the same people who should have been my 'friends.' Now, I'm not one to complain and I'm not one to be in the middle of everything. I keep my inner circle very small and elite (and it takes a long time for me to allow someone into my circle). Oh, I digress, back to the the purpose. Transitions are healthy and done in the right way at the right time they can mark a more mature YOU. A person you never thought existed. My purpose for this is to say that when it's time to change don't hold on just let change happen because the outcome will be worthwhile...I'm living proof of that.
