Moving On Up!

Moving On Up!

This weekend was real kool. I got to see me sister again. SHe's my play sister but blood couldn't make us any closer. My sister, my homeboy and I watched movies and then she slept over so it was kool. Then I went to the beautimous shop and got my hair fried, dyed, and layed to tha side! fter that we were pretty much moving all weekend. We live in a five bedroom house. So we moved two queen size beds and one twin size bed. Goodness, that was some good exercise. But going backwards real quick, I must ask for all that read this to pray for my family and I. My mother and I are still struggling with our relationship. I'm not hoping for it to get better, (if you knew my mama you'd know that's not possible anyway) I just really want to be able to move the rest of my stuff out peacefully and go on to college without any problems. She has isolated herself from the whole family, she won't call anyone unless she needs some money. We almost got into a physical fight last week.

She was upset because I brought up my father (he was a rollin stone, died in 1999) and the fact that she didn't introduce me to his family when she ahd the chance. So she threatened to hit me with a skillet, and I told her if she hit me she better kill me. We have a history y'all. Everytime there's a problem, she tries to hit me or my brother and I'm to the point where I'm not scared of her anymore because I finally started standing up to her a couple years ago. However, when that sentence left my lips I scared myself. But she has to realize that hitting your kids all the time instead of talking about things and working through them is the quickest way to burn a bridge. I would sit here and tell all the stuff we've been through, but I don't think y'all got that kind of time. So I just say this, I have no regrets for moving out of her house. She always said 'If you can't abide by my rules, then get out'. Since I've left, my chest pains have stopped and my nose hasn't bled once. I had always thought those things were stress related and that just cemented it. All I ever wanted to do was graduate without major distractions. Now, thanks to my Savior, my family, and friends, I can do that. Goodnite y'all. God be with you.
