DUMB @$$ Roomates!!!

Posted By: Alexis D. Robertson on April 06, 2005 Hey yall, I have this stupid @$$ roommate who insists on treating me like a child. About 3 wks ago she disconnected my TV because she thought it was "disturbing" her when she went to bed at 9pm on a friday! I was watching my tv late, went to bed and when I went out and returned the next day, my tv was unplugged! I didn't say anything to her because I was so frustrated that I could have beat her like a hoe in church so I just left the room. I told my Dorm director and she told me that I was in the wrong!!! "No help there" I thought. So I decided to go out and buy my own cord and plug it in along with her cord. I left to go to classes and when I come back my cord is unplugged again!!!! I don't know who she thinks she's punishing but I don't like the fact that she feels she can just rule the room! So tell me what I should do people. What should I say to her without loosing my cool?! First of all, even though its kind of late into the school year yall need to set some ground rules,you need to let her know that everybody can't be in bed by 9:00 especially on a Friday night and she didn't have to unplug your tv she could have just cut it off. Thats like her saying she doesn't want you to watch it at all which isn't fair. Then are yall even cool enough for her to be touching your stuff like that? Wait until you are calm enough to approach her and you might want to just move your tv on to your side of the room so she can't say that it disturbs her.
