HBCU Social Network Changing Lives for Young Black Professionals

We recently received a very inspiring note that we wanted to share.
One of our members, Nyler Gaskins, now a professional working for Microsoft, signed up on our site as a high school student and after graduating college, from an HBCU, is now working for Microsoft, thanks to a partnership put in place by Microsoft and HBCUConnect.com.

Microsoft has partnered with HBCU CONNECT to identify and connect with Black talent for over 10 years now, and continues to increase outreach and efforts because of stories like this.

"I joined HBCU Connect 10 years ago in my senior year of high school, so I could understand more of what it would be like to join an HBCU via the college tour they were hosting.

While a member, I have seen leadership groups at my HBCU (Virginia State University) that I wanted to join, internships and local community events like the one I joined last year that landed me a job at Microsoft - all facilitated by HBCUCONNECT.COM and Will Moss.

Will has been a force in so many young black professionals, like myself, throughout America for years without even knowing it. I am so happy to have him in my professional network and will be a lifelong member of HBCU Connect.

If there is a way I can pay you back or assist you in any endeavor in the future Will, please, let me know. You are changing more lives than any of us realize and I am honored to have met and to know you. Thank you so much for your continued contributions!"
