108 Soul, The Soul of New York owned by HBCU Graduate

108 Soul, The Soul of New York owned by HBCU Graduate

Here is the press release on the station that I am a majority owner of, 108 Soul. #BlackBusinessOwners

12 May 2020 – New York, NY – 108 Soul, a new R&B radio station based in New York, New York, is broadcasting across airways for at-home listeners across the nation and world. With talented on-air personalities like Mike Shannon, Eutopia, Jiant and the Ray DeJon Show, the 108 Soul digital radio station is providing an escape during the COVID-19 crisis with those R&B hits, classic hip-hop and talent on-air personalities.

Mike Shannon, on-air Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST, is excited to bring 108 Soul to listeners across the Big Apple. Both comical and outspoken, Mike has taken a love of radio and communication from his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, to New York City. With experience at Northeastern University’s WRBB, Emerson College’s WERS, and numerous stations in Detroit and New York, Mike brings an on-air personality that 108 Soul fans love.

Despite unprecedented challenges from the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, 108 Soul continues to do its part to support local communities by staying home and social distancing. A fully digital radio station, 108 Soul is curating the best in R&B classic music for its broadcast to keep listeners engaged and fulfilled. As people are confined to their homes in self-isolation, 108 Soul makes it possible for anyone to enjoy fresh R&B music and classic hip-hop alongside live on-air radio digitally.

With a focus on a great experience for the listeners, 108 Soul features fewer commercials and more music, going where traditional radio has never gone before. Available online for free, great music, and on-air radio are just a few clicks away. Accessible through a 108 Soul application for iOS, Android, and Amazon Alexa, streaming from home, for free, has never been more comfortable or more convenient.

Thank you for the support!
